Hallel Song
All throughout Scripture we're commanded to praise the Lord But every time you see the word praise in the Bible It means one of seven Hebrew words These words are action words But the most powerful of these is the praise expression 'hallel' Which comes from the word 'hallelujah' It means to boast, to talk about with excessive pride, to be clamorously foolish, to make a loud confused sound, to rave, to get so wild as if you actually appear delirious, as if you're insane It means to publicly celebrate, to make famous the Lord our God This is the praise that David gave as the presence of the Lord, the ark of the covenant, was ushered back into Mount Zion and put in its rightful place The Word said David danced with all his might He danced so wild, that he danced right out of his clothes
But in that time, when a nation would defeat another nation The victorious nation would take the defeated king, strip him naked, put him out in front of their whole army As they marched home victoriously, they would make him dance for all to see that he was a defeated king

So Father, we hallel You JAH We give You all praise We praise You with all of our might For You are the conquering One
We will dance before You with great abandon And in the name of Jesus, Holy Spirit We call You forth to dance through us And right now we let go
